Interviewing for a job in English

Practice for a job interview.

A good topic for discussion is job interviewing in English.  Some of you may one day want to get a job that requires you to know how to speak and/or read English.  This is also good practice for talking to people in English.  Having skills in speaking English is valuable in many types of jobs.

These are some questions that you will be asked in most job interviews:

1.  Tell me a little bit about yourself.
2.  Why do you want to work here?
3.  What makes you a good employee?  (or, what are your strengths?)
4.  What are your weaknesses?
5.  Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  (what do you see yourself doing in 5 years?)
6.  Tell me about your last job?
7.  Why did you quit your last job?
8.  Have you ever worked in this type of company before?
9.  How would you deal with a difficult customer (or person)?
10.  What did you do in college?

There are many more questions that can be asked of you in an interview.
